A power steering pressure hose is a critical component within a vehicle's steering system. It transports hydraulic power steering fluid to the power steering rack and pump from the reservoir. This fluid operates strictly within a pressurized system to assist steering.

Two Types of Hoses:

• High-pressure hose: Transports fluid from the pump to the rack.
• Low-pressure hose: Mandated for transporting fluid back from the rack to the pump.

Pressure hoses and return hoses are rubber products and have a limited life span. If your vehicle is more than 10 years old and other steering components are being replaced, all rubber hoses should be replaced during that same service period to ensure system integrity.
